National Bureau of Statistics reports that China produced 61.51 million tonnes of crude iron ore in February, up 5.9 percent year on year. Thus, crude iron ore output in first two months totaled 124.3 million tonnes, up 17.8 percent.
Meanwhile, the bureau releases that the country produced 47.5 million tonnes of pig iron in February, up 17.2 percent, bringing the total output of January and February to 97.23 million tonnes, up 22.3 percent.
