As per statistics from Hebei Metallurgical Industry Association, from January to October, the main income of Hebei's steel industry was 973.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.28%, accounting for 28.87% of the province's main industrial business income. Among them, profit was 81 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 49.41%, accounting for 37.99% of the province's industrial profits.
Data showed that from January to October, Hebei Province produced 197.63 million tons of crude steel, 178.53 million tons of pig iron and 223.28 million tons of steel products, down 1.8%, down 7.0% and up 3.5% respectively, accounting for 25.26%, 27.68% and 24.31% of the country’s production. From January to October, per ton steel profit of steel industry in Hebei Province was 409.71 yuan.
