Scrap
price in Hubei province drops by 20 yuan/t on Monday.
Affected
by the 7th CISM Military World Games held in Hubei, local steel mills were
required to reduce steelmaking operations in different levels, which
brought decreasing demands for scrap in the local mills. Therefore, the
price declined. For mills, scrap inventories can support 15-20 days’
consumption by and large.

predicts that scrap market in Hubei may run weakly during the CISM
Military World Games as the slack scrap transactions on the decreasing
steel price in China market.
