The Port of Erenhot in Inner
Mongolia imported 5.235 million tonnes of iron ore during the first
eight months of 2020, up 27.2 per cent from the same period a year
before.
“Under the current high imports
of iron ore, we have adjusted our workflow, and deployed extra
inspectors to expedite customs clearance,” staff in Port Erenhot said.
Erenhot Port is the largest land
port on the border between China and Mongolia, and there are 42
China-Europe freight train routes passing through the port. |
