Scrap
price in Zhejiang province drops by 30 yuan/t on Thursday. Many mills
lowered quotations for scrap products since the cost of molten iron in
steelmaking operations was less than of scrap. As of the rise of
transportation fees, the drop of scrap price has been less than of finished steel products in the overall market.
Therefore,
SteelHome predicts that the scrap price may keep fluctuating at a
relatively low level since the steel market may continue
dropping in the near term.
